Color Your Career Activity Book

Normalizing Nontraditional Careers for Children (Pre-K to Grade 5)

These fun pages are intended to introduce career and technical education (CTE) pathways to all children at an early age through coloring, simple reading, and the use of QR Code readers on their phone or tablet. These pages introduce young children to professions that may be nontraditional for them based on gender, race, ethnicity, ability, or culture. By “normalizing” these career opportunities early in life, children may be more open to consider these careers in high school and college.

Empowerment Cards

Empowerment Cards are a set of 10 postcards developed with the following goals in mind:

  1. To help students become aware of the attributes (or gifts) and developing talents that they possess as evidenced by educators.

  2. To build student self-efficacy and resiliency in educational settings (and beyond) by creating awareness of their gifts and talents.

The cards are based on a synthesis of Traits/Attributes developed by the International Baccalaureate and insights from the Speed of Trust: The One Thing that Changes Everything by Stephen M. R. Covey and Rebecca Merrill © 2006.

You may download these cards for your own use using the .pdf file, or download the .indd file to be able to modify them to your needs.
